Upgrade current legacy server-side application into microservice fashioned modern application. As one of the leading travel services providers in its region our customer suffered from users being disappointed by slow responses. The decision was taken to improve user experience by cutting response time.
Solution
Proven cloud environment framework Spring CLoud was used to leverage current business logic to address new requirements: increased number of users led to increased load and old application became unstable. Our experience in building distributed and high-load-ready solutions helped our customer to not only increase throughput but also save money by using modern cloud-based infrastructure.
Data persistence is served by OracleDB, updated by incoming data from other applications through Kafka as a message broker.
View representation is served by MongoDB as a store for denormalized data and by ElasticSearch as a search engine.
